Children are more vulnerable to diseases that are related to poor sanitation and hygiene due to their inadequate knowledge about Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).
It is against this background that YONECO conducted a WASH education session at Chichiri Primary school in Blantyre on the 8th of September 2022. The session was aimed at equipping the leaners with knowledge on how to prevent various diseases and infections including cholera.
The session was attended by learners who are within the age range of 8 to 13years. During the session, the facilitators emphasized on personal and environmental hygiene as well sanitation. At the end of the session the learners were also encouraged to remain in school and work towards the realization of their goals.
